Digging Straps:
Most of your bra's support should come from the band, not the straps. If your straps are digging in, the band usually needs to do more of the work:
- Loosen both straps a little.
- Fasten your hook-and-eye one row tighter.
- Check the band sits level, front and back.
- Re-tighten the straps just until they lie flat without digging.
Still digging on the tightest hook? Try your sister size down in the band!
Slipping Straps:
Before anything try adjusting first!
- Shorten both straps with the slide adjusters until they sit snug on the shoulder without digging.
- Check the band, it should be level in the front & back (adjust hook row if necessary).
Are your straps convertible? Follow these steps to criss cross:
- Loosen both straps first; crossing makes them tighter.
- Before putting it on: unhook the straps at the back band of the bra, cross them into an X, re-hook, then slip it on like a tank top.
- While wearing it: turn the back toward you, unhook both straps, move each to the opposite side and re-hook.
- Readjust strap length for comfort.
Know your connector:
- Pin clasp (opens with a hinge): open the clasp mid-strap and reconnect to the opposite-side connector.
- Swan hook (open hook that slides): slide the hook out and into the opposite-side connector.
Not sure which style you have? The pin clasp opens with a hinge; the swan hook is an open hook that slides in and out.
